Our Founder, Ann Perry

Ann has been saved and a hearer and doer of the Word of God for over20 years! She is a Christian who has been called to minister to God's people.  Her assignment is very specific, go out and save, training, and bless those who struggle living a life of crime! This assignment also includes blessing those who are, 'behind bars'.  Ann has over 20 plus years of work experience with high-risk offenders and inmates who reside behind bars as well as those on probation & parole. She was an active VIC with the Missouri Department of Corrections from 2000 - 2021.  She also has over 100 training hours facilitated by the Missouri Department of Corrections.  She has authored two books, "In Jail Without the Bail" and 'Anger Management Logbook and Diary'. Ann is a Certified Anger Management Specialist, governed by the National Anger Management Association.  She is currently studying for her Domestic Violence Certification; she hopes to complete the testing soon.   She was the Recipient of the 2015 NAACP Humanitarian Award. She has love for all of Gods people but has been called and has answered that call, TO SAVE LIVES BOTH SPIRITUALLY and NATURALLY!  Ann has also completed her Professional Life Coach Certification(s) with Udemy, Certified Grief Counseling, Certified Group Life Coach training as well.  Click here to verify Anger Management Certification.

God communicated with Ann in 2021 to open an online school for felons. During much planning, studying, certifications, etc. God's vision for a school has been created. We welcome you all to Academy Of Wisdom an extension of Blessed Behind Bars Ministry. Ann believes that felons who are serious about changing their lives will be able to successfully complete these classes. Each class is open to the public but felons/offenders are encouraged to enroll. Our classes are offered nationwide. We encourage any felon, living in any state, charged with any crime to ENROLL! If people can come with an open heart and a desire to change ... POSITIVE CHANGE WILL HAPPEN! Therefore, we hope to see, less crime, less violent crime, less homicides, less domestic violence, less conduct violations, less absconders, less repeat offenses, less cases, and less recidivism. This is the entire purpose of our ministry and now our school.

Angela is currently hosting two online support groups; The Prodigal Family for those who have family & friends in prison and The Overcomers, it is designed to help those who have been a victim of crime(s). See the homepage for details!
